Quasi-graduated

Sunday, April 30th, 2006

These are interesting times. I’m done with all my classwork, and I have only one final: a 24-hour take-home essay assignment for my user interface design and development class. So by Tuesday at 9:05am, I’ll have completed all of my undergraduate and graduate work… except for that rascally thesis. I just scheduled the defense for that on July 11th at 8am, so my life is pretty much focused on that day and time right now.

IST is letting me walk in the May 13th graduation ceremony, which is nice because all my family can come out for it. I do feel a little bad about not actually having graduated at that point, but I figure the Masters degree was above and beyond the call of duty, anyway. I won’t be going home after graduation. Instead, I’ll be going right back to work on the thesis and my RA duties, which I’ll be doing for nine weeks this summer before going down to NC and then over to LA.

Darkness falls

This site may experience a bit of downtime in the coming days. My old Web hosting provider is going out of business, so I have to migrate. Catch you on the other side.

UPDATE: Looks like everything went well.

I’m the maniac in black

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

This sunny weather is doing the trick for me. I have more energy and I’m in a better mood. Not sure if I have seasonal affective disorder or not, but either way, living in LA should make it a non-issue.
